AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The country hosting Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine should be a field of competition to serve the needy in various areas, says Astan Quds Razavi’s chief custodian Hoj. Ahmad Marvi at the opening ceremony of Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations, and the birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) in Qom.
Pointing to verse 70 of Surah Isra, he said: “Karamat means magnanimity, generosity and munificence and it is a blessed title for those who have all the attributes and praiseworthy virtues. It is a valuable gift which God the Almighty has presented to all human beings for their salvation and virtue, and damnation of those who lack it.”
According to him, if people seek justice, freedom, moral virtues and their rule in the society, they must revive the virtue of Karamat. “It is impossible for a person who lacks Karamat to restore moral virtue in himself while committing sins destroys this virtue. In a social atmosphere, a society that has dignity does not accept surrender, and does not go under the burden of oppression.”
According to him, the Infallible Imams (AS) always stressed the dignity and honor of human beings with their words and deeds and Imam Reza (AS) used every opportunity to revive this virtue since if human beings realize it correctly, they will no longer go under the oppression of Pharaohs of their time and other illegitimate powers.
Hoj. Marvi further noted that the Islamic government, which has been established with the greatness and influence of Imam Khomeini, one of the educated people of the Qom seminary, has been able to convey the message of Islam and the Infallible Imams (AS) to all parts of the world.
“Imam Khomeini, this miracle of the century, who was able to do such a great work, and establish the Islamic system on the ruins of the oppressive Pahlavi government, is one of the nurtured dignitaries of the school of the Infallible Imams (AS) who has resorted to the virtues of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (SA),” he remarked.
Karamat Ten-Day Celebrations are observed across the country on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Imam of Shia Muslims.
